Spring Registration
for Baseball and Softball

Key Dates
There are several key dates before the start of Spring season that all parents should understand.

To the right you will find all of the key dates, beginning with Online Registration and ending with the beginning of the season.

Special Notes
Skills Demonstration
Is required only for players not on protected rosters, as follows:

  • Baseball, Ages 9 and older
  • Softball, Ages 10U and older.
If you don't know whether your child is on a protected roster, then he or she probably is not. All coaches are required to contact all parents whose children are on their protected rosters. If you haven't been contacted by a coach, your child probably is not on a protected roster and will have to attend the skills demonstration.

Organized Team Practices
Cannot begin before February 16th. Your coach will contact you regarding the first practice date.

Team Schedules
Will be posted on the FMYSA Web site on March 26th.

 
 
 
What Are The Dates?
December 17th-January 26th
-  Online Registration
January 19th
-  In-Person Registration (9:00 am -11:00 am) at Flower Mound Public Library
-  Coach's Protected Rosters must be turned in at In-Person Registration by 11:00 am
January 26th
-  There will be no Late Registration
-  Registration is officially CLOSED at 11:59 pm on January 26th.
February 2nd
-  Skills Demonstration for those not on a protected roster or are wanting to play 'Red Division' in their age group.
Baseball - Hilltop Park:
9U - Registration begin at 10:30 under concession stand. Skill assessments starts 11:00 sharp. 10U, 11U, 12U, and 13/14U - will begin at 11:00 Assessments will begin at 12:30 sharp.



Softball - Bakersfield Park (Softball Fields)
10U, 12U, 14U

***Only for players not on a protected roster. Players who do not participate will still be placed on a team but will not be eligible for the draft.

February 9th
-  Baseball Skills Demonstration Makeup , ONLY if February 2nd is rained out.
(Ages 9 and older)
February 10th
-  Coaches Clinic - Flower Mound Highschool. 2:00-3:30pm. Coaches show up with a pencil and notepad at the east end of the Field House at FMHS no later than 2pm.
February 12th
-  Coach's player Draft makeup, ONLY if February 5th is canceled.
February 13th through February 17th
-  Coaches contact parents
February 15th
-  Coach's meeting: FMHS Cafeteria 7:00
-  Specific Age Group Coach meetings with Age Group Director to discuss the season, rules, etc.
February 16th
-  Practice may begin 5U and above.
-  *BlastBall and TeeBall teams are not required to practice, contact your coach
February 17th
-  9U and older Coaches Clinic. Location and time TBA
February 20th
-  8U and under Coaches Clinic. Location and time TBA
March 27th
-  Baseball Uniforms distributed to team Coaches at Bakersfield Park 6;30-7;30 pm
-  Softball Uniforms distributed to team Coaches at Bakersfield Park 7:00-8:00 pm
-  All Coach NYSCA Certifications are Due prior to Uniform Distribution
March 26th
-  Schedules posted for all age groups on FMYSA Web site.
March 29th
-  Opening Day
April 1st
-  FMYSA Night - Lady Jags vs Hebron game starts at 7:00 p.m.
April 5th
-  Primary Photo Day at Bakersfield, Glenwick, Hilltop, & Tiger
April 6th
-  Pepsi-Pitch Hit and Run- Time and Place TBA
April 8th
-  FMYSA Night at the Mound. Flower Mound Highschool. Game begins at 7:00 please be there by 6:30.
April 12st
-  Alternate Photo Day at Bakersfield, Glenwick, Hilltop, & Tiger
May 4th
-  All Star Tryouts-Time and Place TBA
May 10th
-  Last scheduled regular season games
-  Softball Town Championship begins
May 12 through May 17th
-  Town Championship
-  If we have Rain Outs, Town Championship will be moved to May 19th through May 24th
